I Have Used WD My Passport (Not Ultra), Speed Do Not Fluctuate 🙁 It Will Get Warm After Copying Data For A Long Time. This Time I Am Disappointed By Packaging For Rs 30 Amazon Is Giving Such A Nice Packaging Wrapped With Air Bags But For Rs 6300 Hard Disk Small Box With No Wrapping At All. Though the packaging was terribly bad, and seriously unexpected from Amazon, but the product itself makes up for it!Now, many of us gets confused in choosing between this, i.e. WD Elements Portable or WD My Passport Ultra, with the price difference of about Rs.500-800. The thumb rule is, go with WD Elements Portable if you’re going to use it for dumping your data, which is the most probable use for many. WD My Passport Ultra is just the same piece with good to useless softwares provided along with, which includes cloud backup and encryption module. And yes, WD Elements Portable is actually slim than the later one !Stats: -You’ll get about 15-25mbps speed on USB 2.0 You’ll find registration button on right side. Get yourself registered!=> Login to panel and register your purchased product by providing the Serial No. + Invoice DateVoila! Your Warranty will be rolled on from the date of purchase!

  3. WD Elements 1TB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive (Black)BEWARE of ‘Ambitious Marketing’ – I had purchased a WD 1TB USB HDD from them through Amazon.com. When I received the item and connected it to my PC (and later to my Laptop) I discovered it to be defective and brought it to their notice. In response, I was asked to courier it to them so that they could send me a replacement of the same. I did so, but when I received their package in return, I was shocked to find that same defective item that I had returned to them has been sent back to me as it is….”ambitious” indeed. Thankfully, I had noted down the serial no of the product and had also taken a photograph of the box which contained the item (the side where the bar code and all other technical details are mentioned). Can you imagine this? I suppose they consider all their customers to be complete morons. This is the height of cheating!!!But the fact is, they have nothing to lose. People don’t know THEM, they know AMAZON. When asked where/which online shop an item has been purchased from, we always tell them the name of site, which, in this case, is AMAZON.COM. I suppose that’s the undue advantage vendors like Ambitious Marketing take. At the end of the day, the bad name is earned by Amazon and the product manufacturer.
